Thomas Ellis
As you may have guessed by the header, my name is Thomas,I'm originally from Tsawwassen, BC, Canada, now living in the Comox valley, Vancouver Island.
Photography is a subject that has always interested me, but always seemed out of reach financially. after receiving an open-ended high school scholarship, and saving a bit of money, I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D3400 with the 18-55mm kit lens. later that night I brought my camera out to the Tsawwassen dyke to take some photos of the night sky, a style that I find truly captivating for its ability to show you things your eyes cannot. The photos (which you can see on my Tsawwassen page under locations) were not amazing, using a minute and a half shutter, and lacking a tripod, I had to improvise and use a fallen tree, or a rock on the side of the path. from there I've continued learning by improvising, and by experimenting with camera settings, and learning basic concepts through platforms like youtube and online blogs. While I'm by no means a professional photographer, I am miles ahead of where I started just a few years ago, and I'm always excited to learn what I can do next, or to see what creations my friends have come up with.
